About stressed.in

The data is public.
The intelligence wasn't.

India runs thousands of insolvency cases. IBBI publishes newsletters, NCLT uploads orders daily, auctions go up across a hundred portals. All of it public — none of it usable. stressed.in closes that gap.

Between us: four decades of sitting across the table from defaulting borrowers — sanctioning the credit, chasing the recovery, filing the cases that end up in this database. That lender's-eye discipline runs through every page here: verbatim sourcing, honest metrics, and a corrections door on every profile. How we handle the data →

Why we built this

Years in credit and NPA recovery kept showing us the same quiet problem — and nobody was fixing it.

Anyone trying to understand a single insolvency case — an ARC analyst, a fund associate, an RP — lost hours stitching it together from PDFs, and still couldn't answer the questions that mattered. Recovery against liquidation value? This professional's record elsewhere? Which deadline passes next?

The data existed. The intelligence didn't. A market moving capital in crores was reading fragments — not from carelessness, but because no one had turned the public record into something you could actually read and act on.

So we built that. stressed.in is India's distressed-asset record — structured, benchmarked and interpreted — for the people who move capital into distress.

The mission

To make India's distressed-asset market legible — so the people who act on it can see clearly, not just those with the time to dig.

01 · Interpretation is the product

Anyone can download an IBBI PDF. The value is knowing what a number means. That conviction sits under every page here.

02 · The people in the data deserve a fair record

Resolution professionals build reputations over careers. Their track record should be visible, accurate, and theirs to annotate — which is why every RP profile is free and claimable.

03 · No middlemen, no commissions, no selling you

We don't broker deals, take a cut, or sell your data. It's a subscription intelligence product — and keeping it that way keeps the incentives honest.

Built independently — not inside a bank, a law firm, or someone with a stake in the outcome.
If you work in this market and something here is useful, wrong, or missing — I'd genuinely like to hear from you. Corrections are free, always.
