About

Public data, everywhere.
Usable intelligence, nowhere.

That gap is why stressed.in exists — and it's a gap I spent years watching from the inside.

I spent more than a decade in banking and NPA recovery, on the side of the table where distressed-asset decisions actually get made.

What I kept seeing was the same quiet problem. India runs thousands of insolvency cases. IBBI publishes its newsletters. NCLT uploads its orders every day. Auctions go up across BAANKNET and hundreds of bank portals. The information is all there — technically public, technically available.

And yet an ARC analyst, a fund associate, or a resolution professional trying to understand a single case would lose hours stitching it together from PDFs, and still not know the things that matter: what the recovery really was against liquidation value, how this RP has performed across their other cases, which acquirers keep showing up in a sector, which deadlines are about to pass.

The data existed. The intelligence didn't. Everyone in the market was making multi-crore calls on fragments — not because they were careless, but because no one had ever done the work of turning the public record into something you could actually read and act on.

So I started doing that work. stressed.in is the result: India's distressed-asset record, structured, benchmarked, and interpreted — built for the people who move capital into distress, not for lawyers tracking procedure.

The mission

To make India's distressed-asset market legible — so the people who act on it can see clearly, not just those who happen to have the time to dig.

What I believe

A few principles that shape how this is built.

01

Interpretation is the product, not the data

Anyone can download an IBBI PDF. The value isn't in having the data — it's in knowing what a number means. That conviction sits under every page here.

02

The people in the data deserve a fair record

Resolution professionals have reputations built over careers. Their track record should be visible and accurate — and they should be able to add their own side of it. That's why every RP profile is free and claimable.

03

No middlemen, no commissions, no selling you

stressed.in doesn't broker deals, take a cut of transactions, or sell your data. It's a subscription intelligence product — that's the whole business model, and keeping it that way keeps the incentives honest.

04

Built in the open, from the ground

This is built from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan — not a metro tower, but close to the geography where a real share of India's stressed industrial and agricultural assets actually sit. Proximity to the ground is a feature, not a footnote.

I've spent 10+ years across banking, NPA recovery, rural outreach and trade finance — the kind of work that teaches you how distressed credit really moves, and where the gaps are.

stressed.in is the platform I wished existed when I was on the recovery side of the table. If you're working in this market and something here is useful, wrong, or missing — I'd genuinely like to hear from you.
