How the ranking is built, and what it is not

the order is a sort key, not a verdict

Claimed and verified pages come first. A professional who has claimed their own page — free, one OTP to the IBBI-registered email — sits above unclaimed peers. This buys position in the list, nothing in the figures: no number on a claimed card is calculated differently from an unclaimed one.
Then mandate count, most first. Appointments attributed on the public record. It measures how much work the record shows, not how well it went — a long career of small mandates outranks a short one of large ones.
Then alphabetically, and nothing else. No score, index or rating of ours decides who appears higher. Every figure on a card is a count or a published number — nothing this platform invented moves a professional up or down the page, and there is no placement to buy.

The two numbers on this page that are not what they look like

REC/LV
The card figure is a mean of ratios — each mandate's realisation over its liquidation value, averaged across the professional's mandates. The haircut belongs to the company, not to the professional — it is set by how little was left to recover. Recovery against liquidation value is the fairer read, because it asks what was realised against what the assets were worth on the floor. It has no upper bound, because liquidation value is a denominator that can approach zero: figures above 1,000% exist on this platform and are real. Anything above ten times is printed as a multiple for that reason. The professional's own page computes the same idea differently — realisations summed, liquidation values summed, one divided by the other, which is IBBI's basis — so the two figures can differ for the same person. Both are correct on their own basis. Neither is a score.
RATE
The resolution rate under each card counts only concluded mandates. Cases still under CIRP are excluded from the denominator rather than counted as failures — they have not chosen yet. The count of running mandates is printed beside the rate so the denominator is never hidden.
A resolution professional does not choose the outcome. Whether a plan arrives, whether the committee approves it and whether the tribunal confirms it are decided by creditors, bidders and benches. A high liquidation share can follow from the assets, the sector or the year, and this page cannot separate those from conduct. Read it as a record of what happened on whose watch — nothing on this page is a professional-conduct assessment.

What the attribution covers

matched by CIN, not by name

21% 44% 35%
Resolved · 1,526 (21%) Liquidated · 3,202 (44%) Under CIRP · 2,604 (35%)

Of the cases attributed to a tracked professional, 1,526 reached an approved plan, 3,202 went to liquidation and 2,604 are still running. Attribution is by CIN, so a company appears against the professional the record names, never against a similar name — the join that a name match would get wrong.

VL
2,612 voluntary liquidations are counted separately and never folded into the CIRP figures above. A solvent company winding itself up is a different mandate from an insolvency, and mixing them would inflate every count on this page.
FiSP
The four financial service provider cases — run by an administrator rather than a resolution professional, so they carry no assignment row — are counted on the name basis and folded into the resolved figure.
WHO
Of 4,663 professionals on the register, 4,378 are counted active. The 285 excluded are professionals suspended by IBBI and cancellations effective for more than 90 days — a fresh cancellation gets the benefit of the doubt, because renewal processing lags. Lapsed Regulation-9 provisional shells never enter the 4,663 at all; they are removed before this count begins. No AFA test is applied anywhere: renewal gaps are routine and the AFA summary is the weakest field IBBI publishes.

Is one of these pages yours?

It was built from the public record, not from anything you submitted — and it is live whether or not you asked for it. Claiming corrects the credentials, adds a contact route and marks you open to assignments. It is free, takes one OTP to your IBBI-registered email, and needs no documents.

Every figure on this page is compiled from public records — IBBI publications, NCLT and NCLAT orders, and the case filings behind them. Nothing here is a professional-conduct assessment, a recommendation, or a judgement of competence, and the ranking states what it sorts by on its face. Figures carry the basis they were computed on; two figures on different bases can differ for the same professional without either being wrong.
